The Cradle of Spirits New

An original creation by Sthan KABAR-LOUET for the New Caledonia Contemporary Dance Company

Set within a mysterious atmosphere charged with multiple energies, The Cradle of Spirits continues the choreographer’s exploration of themes deeply rooted in New Caledonian identity. Through a new artistic reflection, the work addresses one of the fundamental concepts of Kanak culture: the reincarnation of the Word and the essential role of speech, transmission, and oral tradition within indigenous societies.

Through movement, music, and symbolism, the ballet explores the journey of words across generations, celebrating the power of memory, storytelling, and cultural continuity. Bridging tradition and contemporary expression, The Cradle of Spirits invites audiences into a poetic universe where ancestral voices resonate beyond time.
